BBC Gaza correspondent Alan Johnston is 45 today. Mr Johnston was abducted in Gaza 66 days ago. Hopefully he will be released soon and returned to his family and friends.
In the meantime, happy birthday Alan!

- The permanent student….well not quite. Having been away working in the world of British politics for five years, I chucked it all in to return to university. I have just completed a masters in history and am waiting to find out if I have got the funding to go on and do a PhD.
